Welcome to the Bloomsbury Theatre & Studio, two state-of-the-art theatre spaces in a landmark Brutalist building.
Our main auditorium, the Bloomsbury Theatre, seats 545 people and boasts an orchestra pit, cinema screen, and projector. The theatre's exceptional acoustics have drawn artists such as Paul Simon, Tim Minchin, Shawn Colvin and Martha Wainwright to perform here.
Our multi-use black box studio space, the Bloomsbury Studio, has a permanent dance floor and seats up to 70 people for an intimate and immersive atmosphere.
We also have one of the last working theatre paint frames in London.

Bloomsbury Theatre
The prestigious Bloomsbury Theatre can seat up to 545 people and includes:
- An orchestra pit for up to 40 musicians
- Sprung dance floor
- High quality cinema screen and projector
- Up to two technicians to support the activity
- Front of House services
- Three public bars
- Box Office services
Paint Frame
The Bloomsbury Theatre is home to one of the very last London-based paint frames available for hire. It has an automated bridge and wooden cloth frame measuring approximately 10.8m x 6.8m.
