Tickets for all performances at the Bloomsbury Theatre and Studio are available to book via our website, over the phone or in person.

To book tickets online, you will first need to create an online account. This is so that we are able to send you your ticket and process your payment. If you wish to be added to our mailing lists to hear more about our work and upcoming shows you can also do this here and can also let us know about any access requirements you may have.
After you have created your account, all you need to do is add your chosen tickets to your basket and continue with the process in a similar way to online shopping. If you have any difficulty booking tickets, or processing your payment please do call our team on 020 3108 1000 and we’ll be happy to help you.
Please note, the details below apply to the Bloomsbury Theatre's programmed shows. External events ticketed by UCL Event Ticketing may have vary slightly.
Payments, Refunds & Exchanges
Card payments can be made online, over the phone or in person at our Box Office. Please note that we do not accept American Express.
We also accept Theatre Tokens for payment for all of our events. We are currently unable to accept these online, but you can book with these via our Box Office. We are unable to accept payment in cash or cheque.
As per our terms and conditions, we do not offer refunds on tickets unless an event is cancelled or materially changed. However, we may be able to exchange your tickets to another performance of the same production subject to availability. We are unable to exchange tickets to an alternative production.
If we are unable to offer an exchange, we can attempt to re-sell your tickets. Your name will be added to our re-sales list, and if an event sells out we will then be able to re-sell your tickets to anybody who may be on our waiting list

Ticket pricing & Concessions
Across all our performances we provide a concession ticket price. For most events this is available for Disabled, Senior Citizens, Students and Unemployed audience members. We also offer discounts to UCL Staff, UCL Students and UCL Alumni.
For most of our productions we offer a discount for large group bookings. If booking for ten people or more, your tenth person goes free. To make a group booking, contact us on [email protected] or call 020 3108 1000
Children & Babies
We host a wide range of performances, including those aimed at families and young people. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult whilst in the venue and at no point left unattended.
Children under 2 years are considered babes in arms and as they can sit in their guardian’s lap do not require a ticket. Unless specified otherwise all children over the age of 2 years will require a ticket.
To ensure emergency exit routes stay clear, all baby carriers and pushchairs must remain outside the auditorium at all times. For family shows there will be a designated place for buggies.
E-Tickets
As part of our work to be more sustainable, we have committed to reducing the amount of physical tickets we print. We offer E-Tickets across all our productions, both over the phone and in person at the Box Office.
If you do not have an email address, or are otherwise unable to receive an E-Ticket, we are still able to print a physical ticket for you to collect on the day of the performance.
Access tickets
We have a range of different ticket options to support those with additional requirements, including concessionary tickets, specific allocations for wheelchair users, and information around interpreted and captioned performances. Terms & Conditions
When booking tickets for our events, you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions.
A few highlights of these are below:
- The management reserves the right to refuse admission.
- The management reserves the right to amend or alter the programme as necessary as a result of unforeseen circumstances.
- Tickets cannot be exchanged or or money refunded.
- Tickets are not to be re-sold for profit.
- Latecomers may be refused admission.
- All attendees will be subject to, and should be made themselves aware of, additional venue rules
Please note, these terms apply to events at the Bloomsbury Theatre, companies using UCL Event Ticketing for external events may have slightly different terms around returns and exchanges.
Data Protection
We collect data on customers whilst taking bookings for events and other products. We take the security of our customer’s data very seriously and we would like to emphasise the following points regarding the use of your data.
This is in addition to our compliance with Students’ Union UCL’s data protection and privacy policy, and UCL's Information Security Policy.
- At the time of booking customers are asked if they would like to receive information from the venue regarding upcoming events and activities. No direct marketing activity is undertaken to those requesting not to receive contact.
- We will use customer data stored for mailings advertising events taking place at the venue and elsewhere.
- Third Party and UCL departmental organisers of events at our venue will sometimes be provided with data relating to customers for the events that they organised. In these situations, the third party organiser or UCL department will be expected to follow the same rules as the theatre.
- All marketing emails sent to previous customers and subscription lists will contain information on how to remove that email address from our database.
